Warren ‘Boz’ Bostrom, Beloved Saint John’s University Professor, Passes Away at Age 52, Leaving a Legacy of Education, Mentorship, and Community Support
Warren “Boz” Bostrom, a beloved professor at Saint John’s University (SJU) and a passionate advocate for education and athletics, passed away in October 2025. He was 52 years old. Bostrom, who graduated from SJU in 1995, dedicated his life to teaching and mentoring students, leaving behind a profound legacy.
Bostrom was a standout football player during his time at SJU, earning Academic All-American honors in 1994. His career took him to the world of international tax and finance, but he returned to SJU in 2004 to teach in the Department of Accounting and Finance. Over his 21-year tenure, Bostrom became a cherished figure on campus, known for his enthusiasm, dedication to his students, and deep commitment to the university.
Despite recent health struggles, Bostrom remained a guiding light for his students and colleagues, remembered for his kindness, integrity, and unrelenting passion for education. His contributions to SJU extended beyond the classroom, as he also wrote books and gave speeches, further strengthening his connection with the university community.
