Payton Wayne Bowers, Beloved Father and Friend, Passes Away at 28 in Des Moines, IA
Payton Wayne Bowers, a cherished member of the Des Moines community, tragically passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 28. Payton's sudden departure has left friends, family, and the community heartbroken.
Payton is remembered fondly for the love they shared with their family, especially their daughter, Anastasia Bowers, and the bond with their parents, Terry and Wanda Bowers. Payton was also a devoted sibling to Nick Pence, Jordan Kendal, Eann Bowers, and Damon Leavrich. Their passing has left a void that will be deeply felt by those who knew them.
In addition to their parents and children, Payton leaves behind numerous other family members, including nieces and nephews, who brought joy to their life. Payton was predeceased by grandparents Betty Jolly, Gloria Fay Bowers, and Kenneth Bowers but is survived by their grandfather, Richard Jolly.
A celebration of Payton’s life will be held on Sunday, October 19th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elkhart Veterans Memorial Community Center in Elkhart, IA. The family welcomes all to join in remembering Payton’s life and legacy.
