Leah M. Mosier, Beloved Social Worker, Dies After Courageous Battle with Cancer in Dunkirk, NY

Leah M. Mosier, 43, of Dunkirk, New York, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by loved ones, Leah's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Leah recently graduated from Keuka College with a master's degree in social work and was deeply passionate about helping others. Known for her kindness and dedication, she touched the lives of many in her community. Leah's love for her work and the people she served made her an inspiration to those around her.

She is survived by her parents, William and Roberta Mosier, of Dunkirk, as well as her siblings, Christa (John) Number of Dunkirk, and Aaron (Natisha) Mosier of Cheektowaga, NY. Leah's niece-sister, Jillian (Angel) Abreu, also survives her, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Mosier.

The community is in mourning as they remember Leah’s legacy of compassion and dedication to others. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

Leah’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched during her time on earth.
